Benice C. Hoover, 81, Altoona, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in Portage, the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Kratzen) Beres.

On October 12, 1985, she married Bernard T. “Bernie” Hoover in Altoona.

She is survived by two stepsons: Greg (Karen) and Bill Hoover; three sisters: Mildred Vaughn, Cathy Ceirzega and Patty Beres; and her nephew, Robert Beres.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be made at Calvary Cemetery.
