Barbara Jean Kimberling

Barbara Jean Kimberling, age 68, of Altoona, passed away on the evening of September 30, 2025, at UPMC-Altoona. She was born to the late Alvin K. Hagerty and Evelyn (McMullen) Harshberger in Altoona. On May 17, 1989, she united in marriage with Samuel J. Kimberling, IV, in Roaring Spring.

Barbara is survived by her devoted husband, Samuel, as well as her siblings: Debra Hagerty of Lancaster, Darlene Smalls of Colorado, William Hagerty, Sr. (Terry) of Altoona, and Mark Hagerty of Altoona and Billy and Lisa Harshberger of Altoona. She is also remembered by her in-laws who include mother-in-law Helen F. Muir of Altoona, and siblings-in-law Bonnie Ewry (Mike), Debbie Wood (Daniel), Terry Hagerty (Bill), John Kimberling (Lisa), along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Hagerty.

Barbara was a graduate of Altoona High School. She had a deep love for animals and enjoyed fishing, crocheting, knitting, and following NASCAR.

A celebration of her life will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601.
