Barbara Ballas

Barbara Ballas, 76, Altoona, passed away Friday at her home after an extended illness. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Alfred and Dorothea (Rife) Lauber. She is survived by a son, Edward Ballas and wife Sue Ann of Ft. Worth, TX; a daughter, Karen Runkle and husband Keith of Altoona; grandchildren: Kayleigh Ballas of Gainesville, FL, Bryce Ballas of Ft. Worth, TX, Corey George, Tanner George and Landon George, all of Altoona; and two brothers: Fred Lauber and wife Carol of Richmond, VA and their son, Scott of Zurich, Switzerland and Larry Lauber and wife Patty of Hollidaysburg. She was preceded in death by a son, Ryan Ballas. Barabra was a 1963 graduate of Altoona High School and attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh from 1967 to 1968. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blair Senior Services, Inc.
