Annabelle Constance Shura

Annabelle Constance Shura, 76, Altoona, passed away Wednesday at UPMC Altoona. 

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Gervase and Anne (Pearson) Lieb.

She is survived by a son, Robert Shura and wife Ashley Rose in North Carolina; a sister, Michaelyn Neiger in Dubois; a brother, Shannon Lieb and wife Sue in Indianapolis; a soon to be granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Lieb.

Annabelle enjoyed poetry, cats and had a sweet tooth for chocolate. She dedicated her time to assisting those struggling with addiction through active involvement in local AA groups. These individuals became her treasured community, as she gave support and hope to help them overcome their challenges like she once did.

A gathering will be held from 1 to 3 pm on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4^th Avenue, Altoona, to celebrate the life of Annabelle. Inurnment will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery.
