Anna May McIntire

Anna May McIntire, 84, Altoona, passed away Saturday at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Reeseman) Nebelski.

On February 27, 1960, she married James Thomas McIntire. He preceded her in death on October 23, 2007.

She is survived by four children: Diana Shaffer (Bill), Jim McIntire (Lisa), Patrick McIntire and Tom McIntire (Nickie), all of Altoona; seven grandchildren: Kristen, Stephen, Jessica, Philip, Christian, Andrew and Martin; seven great grandchildren: Brendon, Katelyn, Drew, Luke, Gia, Nova and Maya; a great grandson due in July; and two siblings: Stanley Nebelski and Rose Plewa.

She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Patty McIntire, and several siblings. 

Anna was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading and enjoyed dancing and playing cards with her late husband.

Friends will be received from 11 am until the Noon Memorial Service on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4^th Avenue, Altoona, 16601. Inurnment will be made at Calvary Cemetery.
