Gerald Stevens

Arthur Gerald (Jerry) Stevens 08/19/1928 -- 01/27/2021 Arthur Gerald (Jerry) Stevens, 92, Antis Twp, Altoona, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning at UPMC-Altoona. He was born in Altoona, a son of the late Charles A. and Beatrice Pearl (Mathes) Stevens. He married Shirley Sommer on June 20, 1948, in Altoona. Surviving are his wife, Shirley, of more than 72 years, three children; Karen L. Bays(Dean) of Casstown, Ohio, David A. Stevens(Cindy) of Tyrone RD, Wendy S. McNece(Buck) of Maytown, PA, five grandchildren; Ben Bays, Brooke Bucher, Deanna McNece, Alyssa Shearer, Hannah McNece, and three great grandchildren; Charlie Bays, Gracie Bays and Isabelle Bucher. Jerry was a member of Riggles Gap Bible Church. He was a graduate of Bellwood High School. He retired from ABC Mack where he was a truck driver. For many years he served as Superintendent of Asbury Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10 until the 11am Funeral service on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Riggles Gap Bible Church, with Pastor William Ice, officiating. Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery.
