Dolores M. "Dee" Gilbert August 28, 1940 -- December 11, 2008 Dolores M. "Dee" Gilbert, Altoona, passed away Thursday, at Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born in Huntingdon, daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Peters) Himes. She married Derwin D. Gilbert, Jr. on January 4, 1958, in Winchester, Virginia. She is survived by her loving, devoted husband of 50 years and four children, Mike (Linda) of Parkersburg, West Virginia, Scott (Theresa) of Canon City, Colorado, Patty (Rick) Altoona, Jack (Missy) of South Williamsport, and 15 grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Ginny, Helen and Patty and a brother, Dick. She was preceded in death by a brother, William and sisters, Beverly, Carolyn and Shirley. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing cards, going to bingo, watching game shows and being with family, friends and her pets, Casey and Max. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She touched the hearts of everyone she met. "LUV YA" till we meet again. At the request of the family, no flowers please. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8pm Sunday, December 14, 2008, and from 10-11am Monday, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral service will be held at 11am Monday, at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Stumpf, officiating. Interment at Blair Memorial Park.
