Blazier, Harry L.OBIT with PICTURE and VETS LOGO 12-13-1927-----1-2-09 Harry L. Blazier, 81, of Antis Township, died Friday evening at his home. He was born in Greenwood, son of the late Charles F. and Goldie M. (Nearhoof) Blazier. He married Patricia L. Lenker on August 10, 1951, in Cumberland, MD. Surviving are his wife Patricia of 57 years; four children: a daughter Deborah Lynch and husband Robert of McAlevey's Fort, PA, a daughter L. Dianne Weber and Frank Webster of Altoona, a son Paul Blazier and his wife LuAnn of Tyrone, a daughter Kathleen Spielvogle and her husband D. Wayne of Altoona; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grand children; two sisters: A. Darlene Ward and husband William of Leonardtown, MD, and Iris McClellan and her husband Francis of East Freedom; two brothers: Charles F. Blazier and his wife Mary Ann of Altoona, and Ronald Blazier of Altoona; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by two infant sisters. Harry retired as a engineman from Conrail in November, 1989, after 44 years of service. He was a graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School, and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of New Life Assembly of God in Pinecroft, and the former Bellwood Assembly of God. He was active at church as a member of the Prime-Timers Senior Church Group. Friends will be received from 6-9 PM on Monday, January 5, 2009, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., and from 10-11 AM Tuesday, January 6, at New Life Assembly of God. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM at the church, with Pastor Wayne Shaffer and Pastor Rich Maher, officiating. Interment at Antis Cemetery.
