Albert W Ebersole

Albert W. Ebersole, 94, of Altoona, died Wednesday at Altoona Hospital. He was born in Altoona, son of the late John L. and Olive L. (McGregor) Ebersole. He married Madeline E. Miller February 5, 1931, in Altoona. She preceded him in death in 2004. Surviving are his son and daughter: son William A. Ebersole and his wife Barbara of Spring Hill, Florida, and daughter Kay Snyder of North Carolina; 7 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; and one sister, Flora Nycum. He was preceded by his daughter Leona Hammon, one sister: Leora Nelson and brother Donald D. Ebersole. Albert was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church in Altoona. He was active in ministry there, and also enjoyed reading and gardening. He served in the National Guard, and was a retired foreman from the Penn Central Railroad. Friends will be received from 1-3 and 5-7 PM Monday, March 23, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc, where services will be held Tuesday, March 24, at 11 AM, with Pastor Gary Dull, officiating. Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
