Christine Ruth "Cookie" Traficante, 54, Altoona, died Thursday evening at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Jack and Christine (Limbert) Welshans. Surviving are three daughters: Rebecca M. Smith of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Billie Jo Hoard of Morgantown, W.Va., and Moriah C. Ross of Altoona; as well as numerous grandchildren and siblings. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata.
