Marjorie E Weierick

Marjorie Weierick went home to be with her Lord on Friday December 5, 2014. She passed in her bedroom surrounded by sunshine, flowers and pictures of her family in her daughter's home in Reno, NV. She would have been 89 on December 17th. She was born in Altoona, daughter of E. J. and Minnie Miller. She married Ernest Weierick on December 31, 1945. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2008. Marjorie worked for Young, Oakes, and Brown as a bookkeeper for 10 years. Then she and her husband started a small payroll company called Courier Payroll which has now been in business 25 years and is owned and operated by her granddaughter, Amy Musselman Fouse. Marjorie is survived by two daughters, Rebecca (Becky) and Diane, five grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Her son Robert preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 2005. Robert was married to Anna Marie; Bob has a daughter Crystal Slayton of Baltimore MD. Crystal and her husband Clarence have two sons named Clarence 10 and Robert 7. Rebecca (Becky) LaBelle and husband Gary reside in Reno NV; Rebecca has one son, Robert Drenning, wife Sheila of Atlanta GA and one daughter Kristen Rodriguez and husband Glenn of San Francisco, CA. The Rodriguez's have two children, Karen 10 and Brian 9. Diane Musselman and husband Charles (Skip) of Altoona have two daughters: Amy Fouse and husband James, of Altoona have two daughters Megan 17 and Brittany 14; Kimberly Fischer and husband Frank of Glendale, have one daughter Taylor 14 and one son Frankie 9. Marjorie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for 60 plus years then Mardorf United Methodist Church for 10 years before moving to the West Coast. She was a lifetime member of the Altoona Delphi Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and a past Worthy Matron. After the passing of her husband, Marjorie moved to Truckee California to live with Becky and her husband. She was a great addition to the social activities in Truckee and loved by all who knew her. She attended Christ the King Lutheran Church at Lake Tahoe. In 2012, Becky, Gary and Marjorie moved to Reno NV. She spent her last days in her own bedroom surrounded by pictures of her loved ones. Marjorie loved to travel and has been to Hawaii, the Caribbean. Los Cabos Mexico, and was often in San Francisco and the Wine Country and of course many trips to Altoona. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Friday, December 12, at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata, where a funeral service will be held Saturday, December 13, at 11 AM, with Rev. James C. House officiating. Interment at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
