Thelma M. Jones

Thelma M. Jones, 83, formerly of Frankstown Road, died Sunday morning at Hillview Golden Living. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Daniel W. and Evalyn V. (Fogle) Walters. She married Russell V. Jones on August 30, 1952, in Lakemont. He preceded her in death in 2005. Surviving is her brother David V. Walters of Duncansville, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy R, in 1990 and a daughter, Brenda M. at childbirth in 1957. Thelma retired in March 1992, as a Registered Nurse at the Altoona Hospital. She was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School, Class of 1949 and the Philipsburg State Hospital School of Nursing in 1952. She was a member of Grace Bible Church. She enjoyed homemaking and crocheting. Friends will be received Wednesday, March 11, from 11 until the 1 PM funeral service at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Inc., Juniata, with Pastor James Thomas officiating. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery.
