Brian Edward Bohn

Brian Edward Bohn, 49, Altoona, died late Sunday evening at his home. He was born in Altoona, a son of Charles M. and Amelda (Gallagher) Bohn. In addition to his father, Charles of Altoona, he is survived by daughter, Miranda Bohn of Altoona; son, Travis Bohn, of Altoona; grandson, Eban Bohn; brother, Rodney and wife Debbie of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Amelda; sister, Brenda Bohn; brother, Jeffrey F. Bohn; and the mother of his children, Susan Harf. Brian worked as a mechanic alongside his father at Bohn's garage and loved music and playing guitar. He loved working on cars and enjoyed the time he spent playing in his band during the late 80's. During this time, his band was the opening act for the large bands that performed throughout this area. Their song "XL" was number one and had the shortest title as told by local radio announcers. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, Friday, April 24 at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata. A private family service will be held. Inurnment at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
