Kenneth D. Hoover

Kenneth D. Hoover, 76, of Lakemont, Altoona, passed away suddenly at UPMC Altoona early Monday evening. He was born in Altoona, a son of the late Robert, Sr. and Agnes (Thalhiem) Hoover. Ken leaves his wife, Nora (Stauffer) Hoover; a daughter, Tonja M. Hoover, of Altoona; a sister, Nancy (Hoover) Kerns, of Hollidaysburg; two brothers: Donald and Carl, of Altoona; eight nieces; and one nephew. He is preceded in death by a sister, Lois (Hoover) Young, a brother, Robert, Jr., and a sister-in-law, Helen (Hmel) Hoover. Ken was a graduate of Altoona Area High School and Mount Aloysius College. He was a member of the Hollidaysburg First United Methodist Church and a life-long member of the Lakemont Volunteer Fire Company. Ken had also been a long time member of the Lakemont Lions Club. A memorial service honoring Ken's life with be held at the convenience of his family and will be announced at a later date.
