Janet W. Copenhaver

Janet W. Copenhaver, 82, Altoona, passed away late Monday evening at Valley View Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Daniel S. and Pearl Sharp. She married Thomas E. Copenhaver, who preceded her in death in 2002. Janet is survived by two sons: Perry and Alan, both of Altoona; three grandchildren: Josh Black and Rachel and Lindsey Detwler; and a son-in-law, Bryan R. Detwiler. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Detwiler and a brother, William Sharp. Janet was a member of 1st Church of Christ and loved her family and animals. Friends will be received, Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata with Pastor John Collins officiating. Interment at Blair Memorial Park.
