Phyllis J Hoffman

Phyllis J. Hoffman, 72, Altoona, passed away Monday evening at UPMC Altoona, surrounded by family. She was born in Hollentown, PA, a daughter of the late Raymond and Helen (Gardner) Conley. She was raised in Altoona and on January 30, 1964, in Claysburg, she married Kenneth L. Hoffman, Sr. He preceded her in death in August 1971. Phyllis is survived by two sisters: Doris Montgomery, of Canton, OH and Sandra Beck, of Altoona, who was her caregiver; three brothers: Robert, of Massillon, Ohio, Richard, of Levelland, Texas, and Ronald, of Altoona; and very special friends: Sharon Raihl, George and Chris Angus. She was preceded in death by her only son, Kenneth L. Hoffman, Jr. on October 26, 2008 and a baby sister, Bonnie Jean. Phyllis had happy memories of growing up in East End with friends Fay (Showalter) Dunmire, Bonnie Miller, and Christine (Blair) Angus. She loved her family dearly and at Phyllis's request, there will be no viewing or funeral services. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
