Donald Lehman Hainley, Jr.

Donald Lehman Hainley, Jr., "Bud", age 65 of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 in the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center. Bud was born May 8, 1950 in Altoona, Pennsylvania. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a 16 year veteran, having served in Vietnam. He was a member of American Legion Post 16 and Williston AmVets. In Pennsylvania, he was a life member of VFW Post 8724 in Duncansville, PA, past Commander of District 22 VFW and member of Vietnam Veterans Association, Hainley-English Chapter. Bud was preceded in death by his father, Donald Lehman Hainley, Sr., mother, Francis Winters, step-father, William "Bill" Winters and brother, William "Bim" Hainley. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Donna (Humphreys) Hainley; his daughters, Donna Altekruse (Matt) of Virginia Beach, VA, Michelle Webb of San Diego, CA, Danielle Graves (Chris) of Savannah, GA and Suprina Hainley of Savannah, GA; six grandchildren; sisters, Cindy Miller (Rich) of Gainesville, FL and Cheryll Partner of Altoona, PA and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Bud's life Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, with military honors. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his memory to a veteran's organization of your choice.
