Janet A Bloom

Janet A. Bloom, 89, Altoona, passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday evening at her home. She was born in Coalport, a daughter of the late James G. and Della R. Andrew. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Keith Bloom and daughter in law Marie Bloom. Surviving are her children: Richard Keith, Jr., James (Bonita), David (Erin) and Michael; grandchildren: James Jr.(Kristen), Adam, Samuel, Heather, and Lisa; great grandchildren: Zachary and Anderson; and her beloved cat, Slate. Janet retired in 1994 from the Honeywell Corporation where she worked as a secretary. After graduating from high school, she attended the Altoona School of business. A brief informal service, where friends and relatives may share tributes in celebration of Janet's life will be held Sunday, October 18, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata. Interment will be made at Quantico National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Central PA Humane Society.
