Steven R. Treese

February 15, 1950 — January 29, 2016

Steven R. “Doc” Treese, 65, Altoona, passed away early Friday morning at UPMC Altoona.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Jesse C. and Ruth (Sybert) Treese. He married Donna Marie Dominick on September 16, 1972 in Altoona.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years; a son, Garon of Altoona; a daughter, Amber Treese and fiancé Chris Vipond of Altoona; two brothers: Roy and wife Patty of Sterling, VA and John and wife Cherri of Altoona; a sister-in-law, Sue Treese of Fallentimber, PA, two aunts, Dorothy Sybert and Norma Schcroder, in Wisconsin and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy.

Steve worked for Norfolk Southern as a machinist and served in the PA National Guard-Army.

Steven was a very generous person. He enjoyed golfing, shopping with his wife and attending concerts, remodeling his new home with his brother John, spending time with his family and friends, and looking forward to the next adventure.

Friends will be received Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 10 until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4^th Avenue, Juniata. Interment at Grandview Cemetery. Immediately after services, all are invited to a dinner at the Buccinese Club, 614 8^th Avenue, Altoona, 16602.
