John F. Batch, 68, of Altoona, entered eternal life on Tuesday.
He was born in Sewickley, PA, a son of the late John and Helen (Kolodziej) Batch, Sr.
Surviving are a cousin Darlene Scarpaci, of Altoona, with whom he resided, and numerous second cousins.
John was a member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, Altoona, and a former member of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Ambridge, PA, where he served as choir director and cantor. He retired as a security guard from Hussey Copper, Pittsburgh.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to the 12 noon Funeral Service Friday, April 15, 2016, at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, with Rev. Joseph Gereige officiating. Interment will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Cemetery, Ambridge.
