Sheila J. Crusciel, 46, Altoona, passed away early Thursday morning at her home.
She was born in Spangler, PA, daughter of Eugene D. and Beatrice L. (Criste) Hines. She married Joseph M. Crusciel October 22, 1994 in Cresson, PA.
In addition to her husband of 21 years, she is survived by her mother, Beatrice; a daughter, Alexa J. Crusciel of Altoona; a son, Trevor J. Crusciel of Altoona; four siblings: Dennis Hines and wife Tina of Loretto, Torianne Boland and husband Christopher of Etters, David Hines and wife Lori of Loretto, and Gina VanKirk and husband Ryan of Dillsburg; father and mother-in-law, Robert, Sr. and Kathryn (Eckenrode) Crusciel; sister-in-law, Lynette Shaffer and husband Pat of Cresson; brother-in-law, Robert Crusciel, Jr. and wife Julie of Loretto; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene D. Hines.
Sheila received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and was employed by Home Nursing Agency as a Registered Dietician. She enjoyed cooking, being outdoors and spending time with her family.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellwood.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 6, 2016 at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, 16601. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 623 E 3rd Street, Bellwood, 16617.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation, P. O. Box 204, Norwood, NJ 07648 or to the Pink Panthers, Penn Cambria High School, 401 Linden Avenue, Cresson, PA 16630.
