Richard D. Tilson

Richard “Dick” D. Tilson, 70, of Manville, NJ, formerly of Altoona, passed away Tuesday at Chippenham Medical Center in Richmond, VA after an extended illness.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Bertha Mae Tilson. He was twice married, first to Michelle McGann. He later married Mary M. Rothrock on August 13, 1992.
He is survived by his wife Mary of Manville, NJ; his former wife Michelle and their three children: Lisa Steak (Paul) of Chester, VA, Tammy Morgan (Tom) of Altoona, and Deana Quirin (Tom) of Altoona; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a brother, John Williams (Terry) of Easton, PA; a brother-in-law, Earl Rothrock of Manville, NJ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dick served in the United States Army during Vietnam.
He retired from Seco American Corporation.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 20, 2016. Interment at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
