S. Ruth Linscott

S. Ruth Linscott, 96, formerly of Altoona, died Friday September 9, 2016 at the Rose of Sharon Personal Care Home, St. Michaels PA.
She was born on December 11, 1919, in Johnstown, a daughter of the late Lawrence H. and Elsie Mae (Buckey) Beam. She was twice married; first to Charles H. Trimble, then to Donald A. Linscott on December 30, 1974 in Rockville, Maryland. He preceded her in death on November 12, 1998
Surviving is her daughter, Cathy R. Hunter of Johnstown, a grandson, Daniel S. Wilkinson, four step children, Bonnie L. Hunt, Sanford Linscott, Cris Linscott and Terri. She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert L. Beam and one sister Miriam E. Smith.
She was a graduate of Altoona High School and had attended the former Gethsemane United Methodist Church in Juniata.
During her working years, she was a floral designer at Peterman's Florist in Juniata. Her hobbies included pinochle, making silk flower arrangements and her pets.
Friends will be received from 11a.m. until the Noon Funeral service Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Inc., with T R Hardic, Pastor, officiating. Interment at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.
