Marjorie E. Ickes

Marjorie E. Ickes, 83, Altoona, passed away early Thursday morning at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg.
She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late John H. and Mary E. (Hillard) Miller. She married David I. Ickes on June 26, 1962 in Cumberland, MD. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2003.
Marjorie is survived by a daughter, Mary E. Tarpey and husband Randy of Altoona and two granddaughters, Olivia and Abigail Tarpey.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Goss and Evelyn Campbell.
Marjorie was a 1951 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired in 1991 after 33 years of service from the State Board of Probation and Parole as a secretary.
Friends will be received, Monday, October 17, 2016 from 10 until the noon funeral service at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Home Nursing Hospice, 201 Chestnut Street, Altoona, 16601.
