Ronald F. Mountain, Sr., 79, Altoona, passed away Tuesday at his sons home in Columbia, MD.
He was born in Altoona, a son of the late Charles A. and Nettie Belle (Ross) Mountain.
Ronald is survived by a son, Ronald Francis, Jr. and wife Linda of Columbia, MD; three daughters: Ruth Rebecca Osment and husband Rodger of Chesnee, SC, Ronda Francine Stachura of Indian Head, MD and Susan Lynn Salman of Bryans Road, MD; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and two brothers: Robert Cloyd Mountain of Altoona and Edgar Raymond Mountain and wife Hazel of Pitcairn, PA.
Ronald was a 1956 graduate of Altoona High School. He retired as a steam heat technician from Andrews Airforce Base. He enjoyed gardening.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1961.Friends will be received from noon until the 3 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc. Interment at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.
