Phyllis G. Guyer, 94, Altoona, passed away Monday evening at Garvey Manor.
She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Alfred and Elsie (Wagner). She married Gerald S. Guyer in 1942. He preceded her in death on September 13, 1990.
She is survived by a grandson, Rick Guyer; and a granddaughter, Shelly McCaffrey, both of Altoona; 5 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Guyer on February 25, 2015.
She was a member of First Church of Christ, Juniata Gap.
Phyllis was a graduate of Altoona High School and Altoona School of Commerce, formerly Zeth School of Business. She retired as a secretary from the Altoona Area School District and formerly worked for Bon Ton.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 13, 2017. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery.
