Margaret A. Dougherty

Margaret Alice Dougherty, 91, York, PA, formerly of Juniata, Altoona, PA, passed away Monday morning at her home.
She was born in Juniata, a daughter of the late John and Edith McCartney. On August 15, 1943, she married Aaron Dougherty in Maryland. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2000.
She is survived by a son, Clark Dougherty of York, PA; a daughter, Sharon Yordy of York, PA; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a great-great grandson; a brother, Paul McCartney of Arizona; and three sisters: Catherine Murray of Lynnfield, MA; Wanda Reigh of York, PA and Jeanne Gohn of York, PA.
She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Ruth Dougherty.
Margaret was a member of Church of Open Door, York, PA.
Friends will be received from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601, with Pastor John Collins, officiating. Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.
