Edgar H. Grassmyer

Edgar H. Grassmyer, 91, Altoona, passed away Thursday morning at his home.
He was born in Juniata, a son of the late Francis N. and Lottie V. (Holland) Grassmyer. On June 28, 1948, he married Betty L. Walters in Altoona.
Edgar is survived by his wife of 68 years; five children: Francis H. (Barb) Grassmyer, of Geesytown, Barbara J. (Ross) Smith, of Altoona, Janice M. (David, Sr.) Halton, of Bellwood, Larry D. Grassmyer, of Altoona, and Margie L. (Barry, Sr.) Snyder, of Altoona; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; two brothers; and a sister.
Edgar retired from Conrail as a trackman. He was a W.W.II., Navy Veteran.
He was a member of Riggles Gap Bible Church and enjoyed boating and working on cars and lawnmowers.
A private family service will be held.
