Elizabeth C. Shero

June 25, 1950 — June 30, 2017

Elizabeth C. Shero, 67, Jacksonville, FL, formerly of Altoona, passed away Friday evening.

She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late James, Sr. and Fannie (Weir) Ryan.

Elizabeth is survived by five children: Donald J. of Duncansville, Elaine M. Shero of Florida, David F. of Alaska, Erin J. Bridges of Virginia, and Erica L. Shero of Altoona; five grandchildren: Kenny, Damian, Joshua, Ethan, and Laura; three siblings: James Ryan, Jr. of Altoona, Rita Boykin and Regina Ryan, both of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Shero and two sisters: Rose Bryant, Marian Ryan.

Elizabeth was a 1968 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School. She worked for Martin General Stores as a Second Assistant Manager for 17 years and later retired as a Caregiver from Skills.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4^th Avenue, Altoona, 16601 where a funeral service will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park Cemetery, Antis Township.
