Donald E. Plempel, Jr., 78, Tipton, passed away early Wednesday morning at his home.
He was born in Altoona, a son of the late Donald E., Sr. and Mary Grace (Laws) Plempel. On November 19, 2001, he married Donna Phillips.
Donald is survived by his wife; two sons: Mike of Womelsdorf, PA and Rick of Robesonia, PA; three grandchildren: Ashley Moore and Erik and Shannon Plempel; two great grandchildren: six step-children: Denise Wood of Lancaster, Rachel Greedy of Lewistown, Marshall Kephart of Everett, Jaime Smith of Altoona, Robert Dollar of Florida, and Crystal Dollar of Tyrone; 14 step-grandchildren; nine step-great grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Grace Murry of Riggles Gap.
Donald retired on August 1, 1993 from DANA. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, and roller skating.
Friends will be received from 10 until the 12 p.m. funeral service on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
