Donna Williams

Donna L. Williams, 78, of Altoona, passed peacefully on December 2 at UPMC Altoona surrounded her family. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Theodore and Ruth (Mentzer) Geist. She married William Williams on April 9, 1960; he preceded her in death in October, 2009.

Surviving are 5 children: Vickie McClure (Randy, Robert Williams (Chris), Ellen Williams, Melissa Bolinda(Sheldon), William Theodore Williams; her adopted sons Jeff Chery and Randy Reese; 9 grandchildren: Daniele, Tracy, Amy, Jennifer, Brittany, Jessica, Joshua, Kyle, and Brandon; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donna was member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she enjoyed going to Bible study, volunteering to help where help was needed, and also the choir, which she much enjoyed. Donna was also a council member, the Fellowship Committee, Social Ministries Bible Study, Prayer Breakfast group, and served in any other areas which arose.

Donna retired from D&M Chrysler Plymouth after many years of service.

Donna enjoyed being with her children and loved being with her grandkids and great-grandkids, and attended as many school or after school activities that the kids were involved in.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., and from 10 until the 11 AM funeral service Wednesday, December 6, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Juniata, with Rev. Eli Hess, officiating. Interment at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
