David E. Manbeck

David E. Manbeck, 74, Altoona, passed away at his residence Monday morning. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Frank and Adah (Shannon) Aurandt.

Surviving are his wife Shirley; three daughters: Betsy, Gemini, and Rebekah; a son Brad; five grandchildren: Justin, Kaylee, Samantha, Sarah, and Savannah; four great-grandchildren: Ariel, Kayleigh, Jaxon, and Aubree. He was preceded by his brother Daniel.

David retired as a machinist from Norfolk Southern in 1997, and was a graduate of Altoona High School. He enjoyed his family, woodworking, fishing and hunting, and his dogs Bandit and Shyla.

Friends will be received from 1-3 and 5-7 PM Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., where a service will be held at 7 PM, with Pastor Jack Styer, officiating. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery.
