David McConnell

David L. McConnell, 50, Altoona, passed away Saturday night at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of Ronald H. and Frances Ann (Michaels) McConnell.

Surviving are his mother Frances Ann, five siblings: his brother Ronald McConnell and his wife Cathy, his brother Donald McConnell and his wife Pam, a sister Diane Shiffler and her husband Scott, a brother Brian McConnell and a brother Kevin McConnell, his companion Jan Eaton; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins. He was preceded by his father Ronald H. McConnell and his grandparents.

David retired as a Psychiatric Aid from the Ebensburg Center, DPW. He was a 1984 graduate of Altoona High School. He enjoyed fishing, shooting, NASCAR, football, and especially spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a very generous person.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, January 11, with Rev. Eli Hess, officiating. Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
