Arthur A Boyles

Arthur A. Boyles, Jr, 87, Altoona, died Sunday afternoon at the VA Medical Center. He was born in Bellwood, son of the late Arthur A. and Ruth (Campbell) Boyles.

Surviving are his two daughters: Lisa Lonsinger (Rick) of Altoona, Beth McGeary (Andy) of Altoona; five grandchildren: Frank A. Nyiri (girlfriend Alyssa), Sarah Herman, Torie Millard (Rob), Ricky Lonsinger, Adam Lonsinger; 2 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters: Louise, Patricia, Roxanne, and Lucille; numerous nieces and nephews; and his companion Martha Cherry. He was preceded in death by his daughter Robyn Boyles, his former wife Joyce Boyles, his brother Marvin Boyles, and his sister Maxine.

Arthur was a graduate of Bellwood High School, and then served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He retired as a Conductor at Conrail after over 30 years of service, then went on to work as a driver at Enterprise Rentals for 15 years. He enjoyed fishing, was an avid hunter, and especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
