James H Aurandt

James H. Aurandt, 72, Altoona, passed away at Epworth Manor early Friday morning after a long battle with Cancer. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Roy and Vernadine (Stevens) Aurandt. He married Janet McKee September 29, 1968 in Hollidaysburg.

Surviving is his wife Janet; one son Jason Aurandt (Angela) of Altoona; 5 grandchildren; Kayla, Eva, and Andrew Aurandt; Hannah Shay (Ben), and Austin Lees; 1 great grandchild Hailey Shay; two brothers: Paul Aurandt and Eugene Aurandt; and two sisters: Kay Daugherty, and Ethel Aurandt.

James retired from Boyer Candy as a cook after many years of service. He was a member of Transformation Church, having served the ministry as a greeter and as a van driver. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan, and enjoyed playing chess, cards, reading his Bible. He loved the Lord, and he loved his family.

Friends will be received from 3 PM until the 5 PM memorial service Tuesday, June 12, 2018, with Pastor Balzano, officiating.
