Gail W Walker

Gail W. Walker, 87, Greystone Manor, Bellemeade, passed away at the home early Monday morning. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Lester W. and Beatrice W. (Emerick) McConahy. She married Elwood R. Walker, who preceded her in death August 1, 1973, after many years of marriage.

Surviving is a son Eugene R. Walker, a daughter Kathy Strong and husband William, a son Kenneth Walker, three grandchildren: Matthew J. Strong (Michele), Brian Walker, and Brent Walker; one great-grandson Dominic Charles Strong. She was preceded in death by her son David A. Walker and her brother Eugene McConahy.

Gail was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Altoona High School, and was one time a member of the Women’s Zwingli Fellowship in the United Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking, reading, crossword puzzles and bingo.

Services for Gail are private at the convenience of the family. Interment at Grandview Cemetery. Arrangements by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc.
