Malinda I Stubbs

October 30, 1928 — July 30, 2018

Malinda I. Stubbs, 89, Garvey Manor, passed away early Monday at the Manor. She was born in McConnellsburg, daughter of the late Chalmer and Carrie (Black) Shaw. She married Foster L. Dickson January 14, 1947, in Blair County. He preceded her in death in 1982. She remarried later in life.

Surviving are her children: Foster Dickson, Jr (Shawnee) of Tyrone, Janet Summers (David) of Altoona, Jeanette Ramsey (Lewistown), Francis Dickson (Karen) of Kinston, NC, Raymond Dickson (Jean) of Altoona, Ralph Dickson (Michele) of Altoona, Victor Dickson (Rose) of Manassas, VA, and Jeffrey Dickson (Liz) of Christiansburg, VA; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; many nieces and nephews. She was the last of 10 children in her generation.

Malinda was a homemaker. She had been a member of Pleasant Valley Assembly of God, and enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, attending church, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Friends will be received from 3-7 PM Wednesday, August 1, 2018, and from 10 to the 11 AM funeral service Thursday, August 2, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, with Pastor John Gray, officiating. Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
