Wanda Joan Rhiver

November 1, 1936 — September 2, 2018

   Wanda Joan Rhiver, 81, Altoona, died Sunday morning, September 2, 2018, at the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg.
   She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late William and Ona (Rehrer) Rhiver.
   She is survived by her very special sister, Dawn LaRay Mangus of Altoona, two nieces; Renee Milliron and husband Michael of Altoona, Lisa Logan and husband Richard, of Altoona, a great niece; Jennifer Traficante and husband Brandon, of Altoona, a great nephew; Steven Milliron, of Altoona and a special cousin; Gwen Wright in Florida.
   She retired from the Blair County Office of Recorder & Deeds and prior to that she had worked for Altoona Pipe & Steel and Investors Diversified.
   Joan was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.  She was a 1955 graduate of Altoona High School.  Over the years, she volunteered at Blair Senior Services and the Railroaders Museum.  She was a member of the National Association of Railway Business Women and an associate of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
   She was a collector of dollhouse miniatures and an avid dog lover.  She especially loved her dog "Buttons".
   Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., with Pastor Elizabeth Hess, officiating.   Entombment will be at the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Altoona.
   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mending Hearts Animal Rescue.
