Nelda L. Bayle

Nelda L. Bayle, of the Village at Morrison’s Cove, passed away early Monday morning at the home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late George and Pauline (Moyer) Flick. She married Robert G. Bayle, who preceded her in death in 1984.

Surviving is her daughter Carol Smith (Glenn) of Claysburg, Linda Kenawell (John) of MO., Cindy O’Leary (Denis) of Oakmont, 7 grandchildren: Carolyn, John, II, Christina, Jennifer, Lynette, Katherine, and Michael; 11 great-grandchildren, and her dog Snickers.

Nelda was a graduate of Altoona High School. She worked for Peterman’s Florist and had also worked as a seamstress for Gable’s. she was an active member of East End United Methodist Church, and enjoyed crochet, embroidery, making and donating lap quilts to local organizations.

Friends will be received from 11 AM to the 1 PM funeral service, Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc. Interment at Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to East End United Methodist Church.
