James G Finochio, Jr

James G. Finochio, 93, of Altoona, passed away early Tuesday morning at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Born in Altoona, he was the son of the late James and Edith (Pompa) Finochio. He was thrice married; on September 7, 1946 he married Irene E. Kibe of Altoona. She preceded him in death on December 3rd, 1982. On June 21, 1986 he married Beatrice E. Norris of Altoona. She preceded him in death on January 7, 2015. He later married Elizabeth L. Greene on January 28th, 2017 who survives him.
James is survived by his sister Frances Wagner, a brother David Finochio, and eight children: Robert, William, and James J. Finochio Sr., Bernice Sugarts, Sylvia Bonsell, Gertrude Mahue, Brenda Orr, and Christine Blatt. He is also survived by seven step-children: Danny Norris, Linda Arnsparger, Kenneth, Ronald, and Scott Greene, Coleen Bass, and Barb Quirin, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, James G. Finochio II, also his brothers Richard and Donald Finochio and his sister Joan Iaia.
Jim retired from Conrail as a Car Repairman in 1989, after many years of service.
He was an active member of the South Altoona Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses who enjoyed spending much of his time speaking to people about his great love for Jehovah God and his word the Bible.
A Memorial Service will be held on February 16, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 805 S. 16th St. Altoona, 16602.
