Arlene M Leonard

Arlene M. Leonard, 87, Altoona, passed away at her home early Sunday morning. She was born in Juniata, daughter of the late Howard and Sara Ruth (Youtzy) Miller. She married Daniel G. Leonard June 2, 1951. He preceded her in death on February 11, 1999.

Surviving are six children: Denia Carothers, Dureen Leonard, Dorcey Cuzzolina (Dave), Terry Leonard (Verna), Roger Ty Leonard (Pam), and Ted Leonard (Christina); 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; one sister: Bessie Patton, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Mary Warner, Jeanette Fries, and Dorothy Clark, and 1 brother Reuben Miller.

Arlene was a 1950 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired as secretary of Trinity Lutheran Church after many years. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, playing cards, and spending time with her grand and great-grandkids. Her life was all about loving, supporting, and caring for her family.

Friends will be received from 6-8 PM Wednesday at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., and from 1 PM until the 2 PM funeral service Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Juniata. Rev. Eli Hess and Rev. Kevin Clark, officiating. Interment at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Breast Cancer Awareness and/or Trinity Lutheran Church, Juniata.
