Robert P. Swanger, also known as “Cuz”, 84, Altoona, passed away late Thursday evening at UPMC Altoona.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late S. Paul and Sarah G. (Wesley) Swanger.
He is survived by eight cousins: Patricia Auker, Rick Auker and wife Carol, and Jeffrey Auker and wife Kimberly, all of Altoona, Sandy Alexander and Michael Holland and wife Stephanie, all of Sarasota, FL, Denny Holland and wife Patricia of Dallas TX, Kenny McDermitt and wife Joy of Kingsport, TN, and Debbie Letteri and husband Michael of Greenville, NC; he is also survived by numerous other cousins.
Robert was a 1953 graduate of Altoona High School. He served in the US Army.
He was an Assistant Manager for Wm. Hahn & Company in Washington D.C. and he was a Metropolitan Opera Guild Member in New York City. He enjoyed music, especially Opera.
At the request of the deceased, a private family service will be held at a later date.
