Michael T. Churley
November 8, 1947 - March 5, 2010
Michael T. Churley, 62, of 1010 Delafield Road, Aspinwall, PA, formerly
of 104 McCracken Lane, Karns City, PA, died Friday morning at the VA Medical Center,
Aspinwall.
He was born in Altoona, a son of the late John F. and Agnes (Springman)
Churley.
Surviving are three children, William E. Churley and wife Sara of La
Habra, CA, Joyce C. Churley of Bellefonte, Linda M. Churley of Tonawanda, NY, and
grandchild, Kyra S. Churley of La Habra, CA, nephew Ken Churley, niece Janine
Henderson, nephew Brett Churley, all of Tuscon, AZ; his former wife, Gladys Churley,
and Pam Bryan, his fiancé, and grandchildren: Darren, Cheyenne, Katelyn, Makayla
Rose, Savanna, Rebecca, Dakota, Breann. He was preceded in death by a brother, John
Richard “Dick” Churley and niece Deborah.
Mr. Churley was a graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School. He joined
the United States Air Force following graduation and served a tour of duty in
Vietnam advancing to the rank of SSGT.
He had been employed as a kiln oiler at Armstrong Cement Company. His
interests were hunting, fishing, gardening, and the outdoors.
At the request of the deceased, private services will be held at the convenience of
the family. Interment will be Monday, March 8, 2010, at Grandview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer
Society.
